This collaboration aims to empower various businesses to seamlessly integrate insurance services into their own systems or platforms via APIs, without the need for significant investment in building their own infrastructure. Marco Technology, a company under KBTG, will be a key force behind the innovation. This initiative further reaffirms KBTG’s leadership in technology, underpinned by its crucial mission to help build Thailand’s digital financial ecosystem.
Ms. Voranuch Dejakaisaya, Executive Chairman, KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG), said that with consumers’ lifestyles shifting towards digital channels, the business sector has seen increasing demand for embedded finance. The aim is to enhance customer convenience by offering comprehensive services through their own platforms. As a technology leader with a crucial mission to promote Thailand’s digital financial ecosystem, KBTG has therefore partnered with InsureMO, an insurtech leader, to develop a connected insurance ecosystem, designed to support businesses seeking a channel to seamlessly provide supplementary insurance services to their customers.
Dr. Woody Mo, President and CEO of InsureMO, said, “The collaboration between KBTG and InsureMO will drive connectivity across insurance services in Thailand. With InsureMO platform offering APIs that support all insurance products and policy lifecycles, combined with Marco Technology [under KBTG]’s expertise in fintech, real estate, and other industries, we believe Marco Technology can unlock the full potential of our platform. This will lead to the development of insurance solutions tailored to the requirements of various businesses in Thailand. Such success will deliver tremendous value to partners, customers, and all stakeholders involved.”
Sansiri is one of the early adopters of this platform, partnering with Marco Technology to enhance its Home Service application. The upgraded platform allows residents of Sansiri and Plus Property to conveniently access a variety of insurance products. The initial phase, launching in the third quarter of this year, will introduce travel insurance, with future phases expanding to include offerings tailored to residents’ lifestyles. Looking ahead, KBTG plans to broaden its services across multiple sectors—including retail, e-commerce, real estate, healthcare, and travel—with the goal of partnering with over 10 businesses within the next three years.
