Assurely was co-founded by CEO David Carpentier and Chief Insurance Officer Ty Sagalow, who was part of the founding team at Lemonade, a publicly traded Insurtech. Their TigerMark product sought to provide coverage for Directors and Officers Liability (D&O) insurance for platforms in the exempt offerings sector. Over time, Assurely offered a broader selection of insurance products, including embedded insurance.

Equal Parts Insurance was co-founded by CEO Mike Witte, Head of Tech Graham Yennie, and Head of Operations Mike Meller.

Equal Parts holds a mission of becoming a top-five insurance distributor within the next ten years. Equal Parts launched this year with $10 million in acquisition capital provided by Equal Ventures and Max Ventures.

According to their website, Equal Parts acquires top insurance agencies and then integrates artificial intelligence (AI) into these entities to “extend their reach and amplify their impact.” The company states that it intends to “move fast” and integrate its acquisitions into its platform.

In a release, Carpentier said that Equal Parts shares their philosophy, stating that together they will be able to serve more founders while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in insurance.

Witte added that by integrating TigerMark into their platform, they can “scale this offering while dramatically improving operational efficiency through automated workflows.”

“We’re not just acquiring agencies we’re creating a platform where talented professional can scale their impact,” stated Witte.
