Eleos partners with HealthKey to provide physical and mental wellbeing services to millions of people in the UK.
The two new perks made possible by HealthKey are:
Physiotherapy sessions
- On-demand in-person advice and treatment for joint, bone, and muscle pain
- Up to 5 in-person therapy sessions per year
- App-based tools for recovery with progress tracking and live chat support
Mental health counselling
- Appointments available 7 days a week from 8am – 10pm
- Up to 6 free remote counselling sessions per year
- Evidenced based therapy delivered in line with NICE guidelines
No GP referrals are necessary for either service, which means users don’t have to join the long NHS queues to get the help they need right now.
Kiruba Shankar Eswaran, CEO of Eleos said: “We decided to partner with HealthKey for the same reason that we founded Eleos: to improve people’s access to essential protections. Only 6% of people have income protection insurance while just 29% have life insurance. We want to shift those percentages much higher. But financial resilience is only a part of people’s wellbeing.
As a company that specialises in protection, we also prioritise the physical and mental health of our customers. The NHS is a crucial part of British life but we all know it’s not in a good place right now. If we can make a difference by giving people fast access to vital therapies then we’ll feel we’re doing our job.”
7 million people are currently on the NHS elective care waiting lists, but it’s likely that many more urgent cases have yet to be referred by GPs. Meanwhile 25% of NHS patients were unhappy with the care they received and the way their complaints were handled. By offering these new health perks, Eleos hopes to take some of the strain and pain out of the experience of health care. Insurance protection is its bedrock, but looking after its customers is its mission.
